**자유롭게 사용할 수 있는 현금을 얻기 위해서는, 영업활동을 통해서 벌어들인 현금으로 우선**

1. 기업의 유지를 위한 **대체투자**(회계상 감가상각비에 해당)가 되어야 할 것
2. 추가적으로는 영업활동을 위해서 사용된 순영업자산의 취득에 자본을 제공한채권자 및 주주에게 **대가(자본비용)를 확보해** 주어야 할 것
3. 이렇게 얻은 이익은 바로 초과이익에 해당하며 기업의 경영성과를 평가하는데 최고의 지표로 이용되고 있다.&#x20;
